Happy Centennial, Alberta 1905 - 2005  Photo J.312/2 appears courtesy of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Members of Alberta's first Legislative Assembly, May 9, 1906, standing on the steps of McKay Avenue School, Edmonton. The school built in 1904 was designated a Provincial Historic Resource in 1976 and is now the archives of Edmonton Public Schools. The deadline for applications for the 2005 ARTA-Johnson Scholarship, worth $5,500, has been extended to September 1, 2005. Applications should be sent in writing to:
